Mogadishu — One of the members of Somali transitional federal parliament has disclosed Somalia's scholarships are taken advantage of and mismanaged by individuals.
In an interview with Shabelle Media Network, Asha Ahmed Abdalla, a female Somali parliamentarian, said there is widespread corruption in the scholarships Somalia receives from some of the world countries.
She mentioned that there are students who sat for scholarship of Turkey, but underscored those students are changed and brought others in their positions referring to complaints from the students.
The Somali MP spelled out that there are more than 10 people were given scholarship and will taken to, pointing out that it would be good the scholarships to be given out in accordance with the 4.5 Formula upon which Somalia's current government was established years ago.
