Somaliland: President Welcomes Italian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister

HARGEISA(SomalilandPress)–Somaliland president Mr. Ahmed Mohamoud Siilaanyo meets high level delegation from Italy compromising of seven members. According to press release issued from the presidential spokesman Mr. Abdilahi Mohamed Daahir ‘Cukuse,’ Somaliland president Mr. Siilaanyo held a high level meeting with Italian delegation. The meeting was held at the office of the president today as the press release states.

The Italian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Senatore Alfredo Mantina is heading the delegate.
Somaliland president and the Italian delegation discussed in lengthy the bilateral relation between Somaliland and Italy. The delegation told that the main reason behind coming to the country is to know the real situation on the ground. Italian deputy foreign affairs minister Mr. Senatore Alfredo Mantica congratulated on Somaliland president when it comes to the good governance and that Somaliland government managed to sustained law and order.

Italian deputy foreign affairs minister further added that the y came to country in order to inform
Somaliland government that the Italian government will work closely with Somaliland. Somaliland president briefed the delegation on Somaliland history and he added that Somaliland people and its government is awaiting the international community to recognize and extend a helping hand when it comes to the efforts that it made.

The president of Somaliland was accompanied by the vice president Mr. Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail Saylici, Foreign affairs minister Dr. Mohamed Abdilahi Omar, planning and development minister Dr. Sacad Ali Shire, health minister Dr. Husein Mohumed Mohamed and minister for the presidential office Mr. Hirsi Ali Haji Hasan. The Italian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Senatore Alfredo Mantica was accompanied by Elisabetta Bolloni, General Director for cooperation and development for the Italian planning ministry, Rosa Anna Coniglio who is the General Director for the Italian planning ministry which is special to the cooperation of Africa and Sub-Sahara and the Italian ambassador to Kenya and four other senior officials. http://samotalis.blogspot.com/
