Somalia: TFG Supreme Court Issues Formal Verdict On SKA in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — The supreme court of the transitional government of Somalia has formally issued a verdict on Air and logistic company SKA that it does not illegally operate at the International Airport of Somalia in the capital Mogadishu.

Aidid Ilka-Hanaf, the chairman of the high court of the Somali government has Tuesday announced the decision of the court that SKA legally works in Mogadishu mainly the international airport Aden Adde. He said that SKA had signed 10 years agreement with the transitional government of Somalia and lawfully operates at the international airport.

Mr. Ilka-Hanaf disproved all charges against SKA that some of the Somali air forces and logistics had earlier accused the company that it worked in the country without law and order.

There had been many more guests including SKA officials attended at the hearing of long waiting verdict announced in the high court of the TFG of Banadir region and accusations against SKA.

The court had officially said that SKA was free for the continuation of its activities at the international airport of Aden Adde in Mogadishu according to the chairperson of the high court of the Somali government.

"There had been some of the Somali air forces and others accused SKA, but all charges against SKA are baseless propaganda, because those who charged the company did come at the court so far after waiting them more" said Mr. Aided.



The court called for SKA to give chances and opportunities of jobs to the Somali citizens.

Martin Bill, the coordinator of SKA company for the air and logistics operations has held press conference inside the high court of the transitional government of Somalia and thanked more to the lawyer of SKA, the TFG and all those who took part the simplification of the verdict issued by the today.

Mr. Bill asserted and told to the journalists that SKA arrived Somali for the reconstruction, beautifying, equipping and development of the international airport of Somalia in the Somali capital Mogadishu. He said that they had trained and employed more Somali people who currently operate at their Centre in the airport saying that they were legally operating in the country reiterating that they would continue their tasks in Mogadishu.

The cabinet ministers of Somalia had approved SKA on 30 January 2011 as the Air and logistics company SKA made more development in the airport since they came to Mogadishu in 2010.

SKA said that it had also recognition from the ministry of the transportation of the transitional government of Somalia and was not present Somalia for the disruption of the activities of Mogadishu airport.

SKA is air and logistic company that operated many more different countries in the world and arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu in 2010 to develop the international airport of Somali capital and it had done a lot of reconstruction and equipment of the airport. It is currently taking part the simplification of landing the international airlines carrying aid and humanitarian food for the drought affected in people in Somalia.
