Next London subway stop: spiritual enlightenment

LONDON (AP) - London Underground riders are being offered a dash of philosophy with their daily commute.

Subway operator Transport for London said Thursday that drivers on the city's Piccadilly Line are being encouraged to read aloud memorable quotations over the intercom to «lift the mood» of passengers.
The drivers have been given a book of profound sayings as part of a project by artist Jeremy Deller. They include quotations by William Shakespeare, Albert Einstein and Mahatma Gandhi.
