 Several Chinese Investors Expected to Invest in Ethiopia: Ambassador Seyum


Addis Ababa, February 6 (WIC) - Ambassador of Ethiopia to China Seyoum Mesfin said dozens of Chinese investors will come to Ethiopia soon to invest in the country.

Ambassador Seyoum, who was former Foreign Minister, said in an exclusive Interview with ENA over the weekend that the Chinese investors are expected to build industry villages in Dire Dawa, Hawassa and Mojo towns.

The participation of Chinese investors in the industry sector is contributing share for the transfer of technologies, he said.

Ambassador Seyum said China is Ethiopia's 2nd biggest development partner after India.

The amount of loan and aid Ethiopia received from China has reached over five billion Birr.

He said the cooperation with China is mainly in the areas of infrastructure, railway, power generation, telecommunication, human resource development and sugar industry. (ENA)
