POLITICAL ANALYST MUJ MEAD DEFINES THE BALLOT QUESTION FOR THE UPCOMING SL MUNICIPAL ELECTION‏

Political analyst Muj Mead defines the ballot question for the upcoming SL municipal election Muj Ibrahim Maxamed Meecaad

renowned political analyst defines well the ballot question for the upcoming SL municipal election . The ballot box question is roughly speaking the question political operatives want to put on the voter's mind when he/she is casting his/her vote. Everybody remembers the famous "it is the economy stupid" coined by the famous Clinton duo, James Carville and Georges Stephanapoulos, a clever ploy to make the 1992 US election all about the economy (and about the then sky high unemployment rate) thus making sure that Bush Senior could not use his first Gulf War laurels. According to me, Mead, as a shrewd political analys,t is following a similar path, and is casting the ballot question in a favorable way for Xaqsoor. The last SL election cycle was all about change, and the Kulmiye landslide was largely due an UDUB fatigue stemming for the Egal founded two decades long hold onto power.

Because two years in SIlanyo administration, trust in notoriuously in short supply. Clouds of corruption and nepotism are omnipresent in everything ministerial department right into the heart of the presidential palace. TheTimacadde and Xamarjicases ended in fiasco, further undermining the integrity of SAL judicial system. Parliament has been made a toothless lapdog courtesy of the government-funded Waddani leader. Somaliland electorate is therefore yearning for a leader they can TRUST. Ibrahim Mead as a seasoned politician is understandably holding his cards close to his chest and does say that he is not member of any party now. But he does say that if he had to pick one leader, he would support Xasan Ciise Jaamac.

Makes perfect sense when He had made the trust issue the ballot box question. Gabose is making good points but a lot of people will not trust him thanks to his recent close association with Kulmiye. Jamaal has a good political potential and can make headway with the public but he is burdened his teammates. Muj Ali Guray is hellbent to settle old scores with Silanyo.
Same goes with Faysal when it comes to Kulmiye and Cirro. UCID is fast becoming the party of angry men, thus leaving small space for Jamaal. When Faysal was talking about his Abtiyaal flocking towards UCID to the dismay of Mohamed Kahin, Jamaal did not utter a word of protestation against this smelly tribal politics. Jamal did not utter a word of protestation when Ali Guray praised the leadership of Riyaale, the leader of the very same UDUB Jamal left weeks ago. All this to say that Jamal is too engulfed into managing competing agendas within his party and cannot be trusted to bring about the kind of change Somalilanders need and want

This leaves us with XAQSOOR. As Mead strongly suggested, the next election will be about trust, and at that game XAQSOOR will easily come on top.
