Somaliland: KULMIYE’s City Poll-bearer Endears Supporters to his Vision
The poll-bearer of KULMIYE party’s 25 civic contestants Eng. Yusuf Warsame Said took time ponder out better urban management with students from various Hargeisa Universities in a large reception at Summer Time Hotel on Friday night.
The veteran technocrat with 30 years’ experience in town planning and architectural engineering was fronted as the party’s poll bearer in the city during his inaugural launching, hence billed by the party’s top-most hierarchy as the sponsored prospect for the mayoral post.
The engineer lengthily laid out his vision for the city, which indeed is in dire need, for real urban planning overhaul.
He underpinned the fact that it called for specialized technique, apt knowledge and of course concerted efforts to chart and map out a contemporary modern urbanization program at par with modern needs.
With a vast public record in urban planning management in Africa, Europe and the Americas spanning over three decades in the three continents the, engineer superbly endeared the students and the large audience present his visions for the city, given the status quo.
Eng. Yusuf has worked in Djibouti, Manchester, Oslo and Ottowa in Canada.
Amongst other speakers on the occasion was Presidential Economic Advisor Mr. Ahmed Hassan Arwo.
