Mogadishu — Prominent Somali elders and educated in Mogadishu have on Sunday called for the arrest of Puntland administration leader Abdirahman Sheik Mohamud Farole, condemning that he was undermining the country's leadership and derailing the peace process.
A/llahi Khalif Roble, an elder called for the transitional federal government of Somali to hold Mr.Farole an ironic fist over his irresponsible act and doing similar as the Somali president, mandating and scheduling the opening of the UN-sponsored consultative conference on Somalia in Garowe town on next Tuesday.
Speaking to Shabelle media station in Mogadishu, Elder Roble said that the upcoming Garowe conference would only be scheduled its opening by the Somali government, but not a regional leader as Mr.farole, he said.
This comments made by the elders come as the Somali government gripped with political infighting over the controversial vote for speaker's firing from office.
Fist fighting broke out in the transitional federal parliament of Somalia after they split into two groups of MPs who fought bitterly no-confidence vote to remove speaker Sharif Hassan.
