MILLIONS of grubby Brits only wash their bed sheets once every FIVE weeks, according to a survey.
More than a third wait more than a month before changing them and experts expect they are home to ten million bed bugs and dead skin cells by the time they finally get round to it.
A nightmare one in ten people said they only changed the sheets once every TWO months in the poll of 4,000 men and women by Silentnight.

A massive 77 per cent wash them less frequently than normal clothes.

"Beds are a breeding zone for bacteria and dust mites because of the sweat, dead skin cells and hair we excrete each night.
"If you add to this the food, drink and make-up stains we regularly sleep in, along with the crumbs from our sneaky snacks in bed and the place we go to relax and rest, is suddenly a minefield for viruses."
It is recommended to change bed sheets every week.
The survey found people in the South West of the country were the dirtiest, washing their bed linen just eight times a year on average.
Those in the North East are the cleanest and change them every week.
