Somaliland: First Family to Spend Quality Time Together amid Tight Presidential Schedule in the UK

LONDON (Somalilandsun) - The president of Somaliland Ahmed Mahmud "Silanyo", who is currently in London, after completing a successful visit to France, is expected to take time off his busy schedule in the British capital to seek medical attention followed by a short vacation.

Sources indicate that President Silanyo who is not known to have taken a vacation nor had a regular check-up for a lengthily period of time since assuming office mid 2010 will visit his personal London medics as he attends to other high level national duties which includes meetings with UK's governmental officials, British parliamentarians, officials from Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) and individuals who are Somaliland supporters as well as the Somaliland community in UK.

The president who led a high level team of Hargeisa based administration officials to talks with French government and representatives of Bollores Africa logistics in Paris, is currently in London with his spouse, first lady Amina Weris and a few aides after having dispatched back home his high level delegation members mostly cabinet ministers.

According to sources in London close to administration circles president Silanyo upon completing visits with Doctors and official meetings with UK based stakeholders, shall take time off official duties for unspecified period of time to spend quality time with the entire Somaliland first family which has not been together for almost three years now.

Though the president's schedule is yet to be made public back home in somaliland where his able lieutenant Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Sayli is holding the fort citizens from all walks of life are praying for a uneventful medical sojourn, quality time with family and subsequent speedy return home of their head of state President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo.

Meanwhile whoever came up with this idea of the Somaliland head of state taking time off official duties and visit with his children and grandchildren should be congratulated for the first family get together shall relax Silanyo thence a rejuvenated presidency.
