A 28-year-old man was arrested in Birmingham on Sunday night after a mother and her young baby were found dead at their home in Billesley.
West Midlands Police discovered the bodies of a 25-year-old woman and her nine-month-old son at around 10.30am on Sunday. By 5.30pm, a 28-year-old man in the Dudley area was arrested on suspicion of both deaths.
It is understood that the man was known to the victims and last night the force said the case had been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission due to “previous contact between police and the person in custody”
