HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Several development projects were launched in Sheikh and Burao Districts.
The president H.E Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo is visiting the country's eastern regions of Sahil and Toghdeer where he has already undertake several development related projects like opening public infrastructures and ground breaking for others.
Before embarking to Burao, the president and his entourage had a stopover at Sheikh District of Sahil region where he opened the Al Fatooh hospital whose face-lifting is funded by the Kuwaitis.

ed support to multi-sectored development activities in the country also handed the hospital a brand new ambulance donated by the ministry of health.
From the Al Fatooh hospital the president entourage preceded to the district's state house where the head of state kicked-off much needed rehabilitation of the building that has remained in a deplorable condition following massive bombardment meted upon it by forces of the late Somali dictator Mohamed Siyad Bare in the 1980's.

President Silanyo official cut the tape to tarmac road which inter-connects several estates of Burao town and funded by the local municipality before he also opened the face-lifted Sprawling Burao Technical institute that was original constructed by the German government and has remained in a forlorn since after the civil war of the eighties and early nineties.
Afterwards the head of state also cut the tape the regional state house in addition to laying the foundati
on stone to a new ultra-modern extension for the same building.
The presidential entourage consists of first lady Amina Sheikh M Jirde, the ministers of the presidency, Education, Health, Public works, Industry as well as the deputy ministers of Health and Information Hon Nimo Qawdan and Hon Ukuse respectively
