The United States boycotted a speech by Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN General Assembly on Thursday.

Mr Ahmadinejad, whose country faces growing pressure over its nuclear programme, is one of the most high-profile speakers at the UN summit on Wednesday.
He has made a series of comments attacking Israel and the West while in New York.
During his speech he accused the West of nuclear "intimidation".
But he steered clear of the toxic remarks about Israel that have sparked mass walkouts at his previous appearances at the UN summit.
"Arms race and intimidation by nuclear weapons and weapons of mass-destruction by the hegemonic powers have become prevalent," Mr Ahmadinejad said in a rare outburst in the rambling 35 minute speech
