It seems that the most remarkable to draw the attention towards the future of Somaliland is a very significant issue which is related to the balance with the variables
What we mean by this?
Let us start with the future and determine what we wish to achieve without having strategy to attain the same and state what we need and what may happen and what can be achieved for us the balance to remain within the scope of our strategy.
In the light of hegemony and dominance of super powers the affects of small Nations on bigger Nations for the area is non-existent or the status of effect is very dim.
In Somali land and the African home Countries as general we have to admit that we do not have influence to keep the neighboring countries stable in order which makes our status stable as well.
This condition, which most of the Countries live which is classified as non being super powers and having limited resources and affect, therefore we should find out a philosophy for political equilibrium in the light of the variables of the region and the World.
The issue is not free from multi complications, no guarantee that the change in the neighboring countries does not target harming us and there is no guarantee that en event will have no international reaction which obliges us by steps required by the International Community from us and required by the International Community and rejected by the neighboring changing neighbor.
The most salient issue is the neighbor himself in connection with the stability who is looking for a regional role in the area and this role might not be constituent with our orientations which are based on living peacefully and not to intervene in the internal affairs of others.
Then it is a must that we shall have a philosophy and strategy for dealing with all of the foregoing.
How can we start?
We cannot leave matters for coincidence and the style of reaction which produces an action and this is an unstudied adventure.
The correct start should be as per a sound comprehension of the local potentials and how to transform these potentials to produce undisputable principles and accordingly create techniques to deal with the event within the strategy of equilibrium.
From my point of view the National interest obliges us to maintain equilibrium and not to involve ourselves in conflicts where there is no guarantee even if there is a guarantee from the super power then we shall have no gains.
In the process of making the equilibrium strategy we should clearly determine the priorities of nation building and through determination of priorities we can build but it is insufficient.
Then what will be sufficient?
Most theories speaks about formation of values of dealing with the event and this is undisputable but what are these values about which the theories speak which cannot be produced without having the Country operating in a democratic path and to lay down robust traditions based on rule of law and incorruptible rule.
In the experience of Britain which is a super nation, there is complete reliance upon incorruptibility of the Judiciary to secure a sound dealing with the foreign events.
This is a reply which we can avail of internationally but what I want to say here is that the values should be derived from the peculiarity of the experience and our relation with the neighboring Countries.
Such peculiarity will not stand as an obstruction vis-à-vis the policy of equilibrium with the variables and should be invested to support this policy, but how? So long as the variable event is external, then the ability to neutralize the same and reduce its effects will be larger and accordingly we can lose equilibrium and nothing more than lack of equilibrium.
It is vital to believe that the equilibrium in the very interest of democracy and development of the Country given the fact that equilibrium is in need of stability so stay and in its absence everything will be threatened, even our experience.
To have an experience, we have Switzerland any party which tries to drag Switzerland to its conflicts and the matter which contributes in boosting its political experience always given the fact that stability will enhance traditions and we can pick the fruits of such traditions.
What is the effect of the same in future making?
Basically future means to understand and comprehend the potentials of the present and to avail of the heritage and that the future could not be built without them.
Therefore the basis of future making is equilibrium wherein we can achieve and we have to deal with the event at the future process which is created within an outlook which reads the future but not neglect at all the present and heritage and this we can confirm that the future is not to jump in the dark without having the present and the future strategy which makes the same available to us. The future does not cut off with the past and indeed it means the present prepared itself to have a different meaning and a pleasant taste in the future.
