Paris: Tunisian revolution figure Bouazizi to be memorialized Via M&C: City councillors in the French capital Paris on Tuesday unanimously adopted a proposal to name a street, square or other site after Mohammed Bouazizi, the Tunisian vegetable vendor whose protest suicide sparked that country's Jasmine Revolution. The proposal had been brought forward by Tunisian-born Mayor Bertrand Delanoe. (source)
