The official team sheet from Sir Alex Ferguson's first game in charge of Manchester United has been sold at auction for £19,000.
United stars of the time, including Paul McGrath, Kevin Moran and Frank Stapleton, played in the 2-0 defeat at Oxford United in 1986.
The hand-written list was given to an Oxford fan by former player Peter Rhoades-Brown.
Auctioneers had expected it to fetch in the region of £3,000.
The team sheet, signed by Sir Alex and written on official Football League paper, was submitted to the match officials and pinned to a changing room wall in Oxford's Manor Ground stadium.
He had just taken over from Ron Atkinson as manager and inherited some less well-remembered players, including Scottish midfielder Graeme Hogg and England striker Peter Davenport.
Sir Alex, who retired in May at the age of 71, went on to win 38 trophies during the following 26 years in charge at Old Trafford.
Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said there had been "phenomenal' interest from all around the world" in the sale by Henry Aldridge and Sons in Devizes, Wiltshire.
