| 16:30, 19th October 2009 - Following a new round of peace talks in Cyprus, and the apparent removal of some of the obstacles towards ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, the Independent Commission on Turkey will launch their latest report at Chatham House, Turkey in Europe: Breaking the Vicious Circle. The discussants will set out key developments in EU-Turkey relations. They will set out their recommendations for deeper convergence between Turkey and the EU and argue that this is fundamental, not only to drive further transformation in Turkey, but also to restore European credibility.
