A ( Somaliland) country betrayed!
Prologue:
This is an out line in a summery fashion of our contemporary political history that we must refresh our memory to remember, and those of us who may not know must know.
It is about the people who happened to run our affairs in a point of time in our political existence with or with out our consent or satisfaction. It is about those who ran or run as an opposition force as to run our affairs later!
In other words, it is about the leaders who led or want to lead Somaliland from 1960 up to present.
It is about the people who either intentionally with a premeditated intent to harm Somaliland and those who inadvertently unintentionally harmed or hurt Somaliland but after all hurt the Mother!
Introduction:
Somaliland never had the luck to have a real leader or leaders in her political live! Let alone a real leader, Somaliland never had an honest, God fearing leader in her existence as far as her political life is concerned, however some were/ are worst than others!
This Para-normal entity of no conscience and no moral fabric headed by Awil and Riyaale and flock are the worst thus far! This Awil and Riyaale enterprise killed Somaliland with intent to kill! All the others who killed or hurt or harmed Somaliland did so either by ignorance coupled with obstinacy, arrogance and at times illusionary like Ina Egale in the 60s!
And the gutlessness, backbonelessness, and lack of resilience and courage, like the opposition and others!
However when killing is the issue, intent is the centre of gravity in the logic and legal world. On the other side of the coin killing is killing one may argue!
Those who happened to rule Mother Somaliland ruined her! They betrayed her! Each one, or party, did it in his own way. Some did it because of their ignorance couple with arrogance! Others with intention and premeditation
Others more, did the evil job due to their backboneless and 'J-llow-ness.' Poor Mother, she never had a chance to thrive and move forward! She never had an honest to God, conscionable leader while good leaders with that quality are many and sit around her!
Author recalls what a UN expert who was working for the, then Somali Republic in 1960s said. He said, " Al Somal maa carafat rigalha" Somalis don't know their good men from the bad ones! His name was sDr. Shalabi. He was an Egyptian. So it is the understanding of the author that Somalilanders didn't know and don't distinguish their good ones from the evil ones. If we did we wouldn't end up with people like Riyaale!
As from the beginning of her political life until now she dances with the evil with the exception of the liberation period headed by Godly people!
One may call her the fool:
The fool that far is sent,
Some wisdom to attain,
Returns an idiot, as he went,
And bring the fool again!
Mr. Egale 1:
As quoted from him he said, " I was a play boy at the time!" that is when he became the prime Minister of the 1st Republic of Somaliland (as a member of the common wealth of nations the head of state was the Queen of England lest you may wonder who was the president at the time!)
King Hale Salase of Ethiopia told him in June 27, 1960 one day after our independence when met him in Addis Ababa how the world order works i.e.: That colonial bounders are sac recent and would not be re drawn or changed by the desire of one party for reasons of ethnic settlements or otherwise.
The king also mentioned that the new Somaliland Republic and Ethiopia could work and resolve issues regarding Houd and Reserved Area in the Somali inhabited region of Ethiopia!
Mr. Egale and his SNL pan-Somalist that did not clearly understand where were they taking Somaliland and what agenda was in their hands, rejected that proposal! They did not know what they were doing!
In the end Egale went astray and with him the country, Somaliland!
This act could be classified as unconvinced ignorance couples with obstinacy and arrogance. By this and through this action Egale killed 1st Republic of Somaliland of 1960 by virtue of being the leader of the four-day sovereign Somaliland!
Mr. Abdurrahman Tuur:
Mr. Tuur first joined SNM when he was called back from Abudabi where he was an Ambassador for Siyad Barre. He did not join the National movement by convection but he joined the movement by convenience!
He became chairman of SNM in 1988 not by his record of dedication and convection, but by strange twist of events in the SNM's body politics, which took him there!
When he became the first president of the 2nd republic of Somaliland he took the oath of office so reluctantly, afraid of the masses that determined to call back the lost Republic! When Tuur completed his two-year term as president under very difficult circumstances, he left Somaliland and went south to Aideed's Somalia!
He took another oath of loyalty to Aideed as vice chairman there in Somalia!
In that way and through that Mr. Tuur hurt and harmed Somaliland intentionally so!
Egale#2:
Egale came back again to Somaliland after a long absence!
He came back to a new different Somaliland, the 2nd republic.
His come back helped Somaliland this time.
He established government institutions from the scratch.
He established statehood, relatively speaking, in a very difficult circumstance
He de-commissioned clan based SNM forces [whom their leaders abandoned them as He abandoned the 1st Somaliland republic!]
He de-commissioned their weapons with the help of SNM boys them selves and the community elders collectively.
He wrote a constitution for the country, imperfect as it is, and set a referendum to legitimize the re-call or the withdrawal of Somaliland from the union with Somalia. But he buried dynamites in every institution he established including the presidency it self!!
The said dynamites were the collection of Siyad Barre's remnants and hoodlums all over the country! Egale embraced them and employed them!
The flock was and is a people with no real knowledge to run a government and not only that. They had no conscience. They never had any moral fabric and direction! Most of them had blood in their hands! They tortured and spied the citizens of Somaliland at a time ethnic cleansing was happening!
Most of all they also did not have any emotional bond with the people and the country of Somaliland! The new Somaliland that is!
Egale on the other hand, alienated, hated and harassed the Mujahedeen because he did not have any thing to share with regarding the liberation of Somaliland!
He never liked the educaters, the conscionable and the moral people! Why? We don't know for sure! Some say he had a psychological problem! He wanted to be the only person in town! It is a typical of him and it is a well-established fact!
Unfortunately, most of the problems Somaliland is facing now were the makes of Mr. Egale, like All the looters, all those who sabotaged and continue sabotaging Somaliland like Riyaale, Awil and others! Thus, in these and by way of these actions and activities, Mr. Egale hurt, and harmed Somaliland tremendously in the end!
Ina Riyaale:
Riyaale is one of the dynamites, the major one now exploding off on our face, which Egale left! All the dynamites Egale hid and left are now exploding and shaking the foundations of Somaliland. They already destroyed the very institutions he built!
Riyale was an agent of human destruction and chief of torture as per his job- NSS!
Riyaale was in a position of authority when ethnic cleansing was going on in Somaliland! He was the notorious NSS chief in Berbera where over 2500 Somalilanders deported from Saudi Arabia and separated by ethnicity and clanship are missing as you read this piece! They are believed dead, murdered by NSS and the Military establishment in Berbera!
In a circumstance where sanity was present and prevalent, Riyaale and his likes would never have been accepted as a head of any respectable entity which was sane it self, let alone a president of a state which is sane as well!
However in the absence of the conscience and sanity of Somaliland Riyaale was made president and worse yet accepted as such for a state he fought against her! This was a para-normal, trans-constitutional act void of moral marquee!
Mr. Riyaale, diva, and his brain Mr. Awil and the rest of his cabinet looted the nation, shamed the nation and disgraced Somaliland! Some did and doing more than others! Riyaale and Awil sabotaged the existence of Somaliland! In fact sold her piece-by-piece! Thus, as a result of these acts and the nature of them, Riyaale killed Somaliland! However, unlike the others before him this guy did this killing of Mother Somaliland intentionally, premeditatedly!
Opposition parties :
Riyaale party ( UDUB ) as well as the other parties jointly sabotaged and killed the multiparty democracy, lest they may loose in competition!
They agreed among them selves to monopolize the political process in Somaliland in a tri-party agreement signed and sealed in Nairobi, Kenya!
The opposition danced with the devil in this mischievous, unconstitutional, unethical act!
Of the opposition parties, one party is not a real opposition party! It is a one-man show established for profit! The guy, who owns the said party is mercurial and unpredictable, thus cannot be trusted! Unfortunately KULMIYE party is hiding behind his back despite!
The other party is a major and populous party but lacks resilience, courage and a times honesty! This party has no backbone! The leadership is "J-ll-o" and their "J-ll-oness" is a national problem.
Thus, in this, and by way of this, the opposition did not help Somaliland at all!
Somaliland (traders) business people:
In the contemporary history of Somaliland, (big) business most often alien with the corrupt regimes, put their profit before the interest of the country and the people!
During the popular struggle against Siyad Barre's regime some Somaliland businessmen were even paying Mr. Barre's Embassies when his regime failed to get money for some of his most important missions!
Some were the exception, however. Businessman Mr. xoogsadi an Ethiopian-Somalilander, saved lives when Somalilanders were in the border with Ethiopia as refugees. He supplied the needed food based on 'pay-as-you can-deal' and the Diaspora was sending remittances.
Another businessman a Somalilander-Djibotian named Ibrahim Dhari also saved lives. He imported a massive (basic) food desperately needed at the time, just on time when needed was there. It was a time Smalilandersjust came back from exile after liberation of Somaliland.
Somaliland had no money and no means to import that needed quantity of food at that time There may be also others whom the author may not remember their names and did humanitarian business in a difficult time. My Allah blesses them all. They did their part.
Now Somaliland is in the 'mercantile market' and some godless tradesmen are buying from the sellers who are Riyaale and Awil.
The said tradesmen are buying the public properties; Riyaale and Awil government is selling in haste. They want the cash to buy properties abroad and fatten their bank accounts abroad as well!
These so called businessmen also launder the Somaliland shillings, which circulates only in Hargeisa and surroundings but not all over Somaliland and gave them US DOLLARS! Those dollars goes to over seas bank accounts! Those businessmen are the main reason why Somaliland is under this unfortunate circumstance created by Riyaale and Awil! Therefore, the said tradesmen are in accomplice with the national crimes in progress in Somaliland!
Now their names must be published for history records
In the end, and as the saying goes:
Treason doth never prosper,
What is the reason?
For if it prosper none dare call it treason
Somaliland would out last the gang.
"The end belongs to the righteous" so said Allah
In hope we live
In hope we may sing
But in action we may prevail, and prosper
And action is here warranted, and now.
So to live in dignity and thrive.
