South Africa after the Elections: Who are the Winners and Losers?

16:30, 28th April 2009 - The speaker will comment on the outcome of South Africa's elections, to be held on 22 April, and what a Jacob Zuma Presidency may hold for South Africa. He will argue that there has been a 'moral decline' of the ANC since the leadership of Nelson Mandela, and will examine the multi-billion dollar arms deal which, he argues, started the party's slide into corruption. Andrew Feinstein resigned from Parliament in 2001 in protest at the manner in which the ANC refused to countenance an independent and comprehensive inquiry into the multi-billion dollar arms deal which was tainted by allegations of high level corruption.
