March 30, 200 Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) Africa needs the participation of people with disabilities in parliament so that they can address the problems of millions of people with disability, Ethiopia President Girma Woldegiorgisse said on Monday in Addis Ababa. He was speaking at the first African conference of disabled parliamentarians. He told the gathered MPS that the participation of more people with disability is crucial in addressing the problem of millions of people with disability in Africa. He said currently the participation of people with disability in African parliaments is too low compared to their numbers. The two-day conference was organized by the Ethiopian Federation of National Associations of People with Disabilities. |
