Cargo ship escapes from Mogdishu’s sea port

shipOn Wednesday, a cargo ship carrying petrol for Somali businessmen based in the Somali capital, escaped from Mogadishu's international sea port.

According to the businessmen in Mogadishu the ship escaped after a disagreement between the local businessmen who hired the ship and the fishiping company that owns the cargo ship.

Mr.Mahad Hali, local businessman and one of the businessmen who hired the ship told Horseed Media, that they lost some of they goods before they could offload it.

Mahad said that most of the petrol that the ship was carrying was unloaded but there were more goods waiting to be offloaded.

Horseed Media Correspondent in Mogadishu Mohamed Kafi reports that local fishermen in Mogadishu, found this morning the body of Somali policeman and another wounded officer on the beach.

Both men were identified as Somali policemen who were guarding the ship.

According to the fishermen, the two police officers were thrown from the ship last night before the ship sailed off from Mogadishu's  sea port.
