North Dakota woman sentenced for stalking Muslim

Associated Press ROCHESTER, Minn. - A North Dakota woman convicted of stalking a woman because she is Muslim must pay $3,000 in fines and do 200 hours of community work service.
Olmsted County Judge Kevin Lund also sentenced 47-year-old Patricia Stockwell on Friday to two years of probation and ordered her to write an apology to the victim. If Stockwell fails to the meet the conditions, she will serve one year in jail.
Stockwell once lived in Rochester but now lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

A jury convicted her in September 2006 of stalking Madina Hassan and found it was because of Hassan's religion.
Lund sentenced Stockwell after denying her attorney's motions for a new trial and a judgment of acquittal. Stockwell's attorney, Frederick Goetz of Minneapolis, says he will appeal.

Patricia had never met this person before and only attempted to have a peaceful conversation with this person. In Minnesota peacefully talking to a person is stalking. Minnesota has taken away Patricia's right of free speech. Patricia Stockwell should be able to sue the state of Minnesota for millions of dollars for taking away her right of free speech. It is a sad day that America is dead. Freedom is dead. Shame, shame on Minnesota. Shame, shame, on America! Know that now no one can feel safe to peacefully talk to anyone as they may be charged with stalking.

The state of Minnesota encouraged the person Stockwell talked to to lie in court. The person Stockwell talked to lied in court on the two major counts against her. The "victim" lied that Stockwell threatened her and lied that Stockwell followed her car through town. Lying in court is a felony. The state of Minnesota is criminal for supporting a criminal felon. Stockwell is a good law abiding citizen who was only trying to practice her right of free speech. There was no, no crime committed. Going over to talk to someone is not a crime on any books. The United States is criminal to make innocent citizens out to be criminals. The United States has become an abuse country harming people for thought crimes.
