| Ethiopian jet crashes off Beirut | |||
An Ethiopian airlines plane carrying 85 passengers has reportedly crashed into the sea after taking off from Beiruit. Airport sources cited by Reuters news agency said the aircraft disappeared from radar screens shortly after take off early on Monday morning. According to the Ethiopian airlines website the flight from Beirut bound for Addis Ababa is operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft. It had been scheduled to depart from Beirut at 02:10, landing at Addis Ababa at 0750 local time. |
